Vision Montessori Accreditation Recognized by VCPE

Vision Montessori Accreditation is recognized by the Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE), a distinction that affirms our commitment to high-quality, child-centered Montessori education and statewide standards of excellence. For families, this recognition carries meaningful benefits. Because VCPE accreditation is formally recognized by the Virginia Department of Education, and students who complete our accredited Kindergarten program may be considered for direct placement into first grade in Virginia public schools, provided they meet age requirements and demonstrate readiness. While each public school division makes the final placement decision, VCPE accreditation ensures that Vision Montessori student records, assessments, and Kindergarten completion are accepted as equivalent to those from public schools.

June arrives with sunshine, longer days, and the joyful spirit of summer! Across our Infant, Toddler, Primary, and Kindergarten classrooms, children are exploring the season through creativity, hands‑on learning, and joyful discovery. As we close out another wonderful school year, we celebrate the growth, confidence, and curiosity our students have shown each day.

Classroom Highlights

  • Infants: Our littlest learners are enjoying sensory‑based summer experiences—water play, textures, colors, and nature exploration. As their newsletter shares, they are “feeling the gentle breeze, listening to birdsong, and safely exploring the wonders of nature” while strengthening early motor skills through tummy time and Father’s Day crafts.

  • Toddlers: Toddlers are diving into sunny themes with ocean animals, ice cream fun, and outdoor sports. They are reviewing letters s, t, u, recognizing numbers 6, 7, 8, and exploring science through melting ice, water experiments, and learning about sun and shade.

  • Primary: Primary students are celebrating a year of learning with creativity and imagination. This month “we'll celebrate a year full of learning with activities that spark creativity, curiosity and delight,” including art exploration, outdoor adventures, and summer‑themed projects.

  • Pre-K/Kindergarten: Our Kindergarteners continue strengthening academic foundations in phonics, writing, math, geography, and science. They’ll also enjoy seasonal themes like Beach & Seashore, Ice Cream, and Circus Fun as they prepare for the transition to first grade.

We want to thank all of you for sharing your children with us this year. Please continue to help your child/children with lessons taught at school, as repetition is the key to success!
