Joyful July at Vision Montessori
July is a joyful and enriching month at Vision Montessori of Chantilly as our students dive into hands‑on learning, sensory exploration, and summer‑themed adventures across all classrooms. With vibrant weekly themes, academic development, and exciting events, our children will experience a month filled with creativity, curiosity, and Montessori‑inspired independence.
Classroom Highlights
-
Infants: Our littlest learners will embrace the joys of summer through sensory‑rich activities that encourage early development and meaningful interactions. Babies will enjoy water play, colorful finger paints, bubbles, fruits, and a variety of textures that support fine motor skills, hand‑eye coordination, and sensory awareness. Daily storytime will continue to nurture early language development, listening skills, and a growing love for books. Weekly themes such as Red, White, and Blue, Bubbles and Water Play, Fruits of Summer, Under the Sea, and Sweet Summer Treats will offer endless opportunities for discovery and joyful learning.
-
Toddlers: Toddlers will explore a lively lineup of summer themes including Fireworks, Shells, Bees, Jellyfish, and Crabs. These hands‑on activities will help children discover colors, textures, and ocean life while building independence and confidence. Academic readiness will continue with phonetic review of V, W, and X, number recognition for 9, 10, and 0, and geography lessons introducing land, water, and beach environments. Science exploration will include melting ice, water experiments, and learning about sun and shade — creating a month full of sensory learning, movement, and outdoor fun.
-
Primary: Primary students will celebrate summer with engaging weekly themes such as Fireworks, Sharks, Under the Sea, Pirates, and Robotics. Children will enjoy colorful crafts, ocean exploration, hands‑on pirate activities, and STEM experiences designed to build creativity, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills. These themes will inspire imagination and curiosity while supporting Montessori independence and collaborative learning. July will be filled with festive activities, ocean adventures, and exciting STEM challenges.
-
Pre-K/Kindergarten: Our Kindergarteners will strengthen academic foundations through phonetic sounds, blending, ending sounds, comprehension, writing, and math work including addition, subtraction, and word problems. They will also learn about countries and continents while participating in science experiments that encourage investigation and critical thinking. Weekly themes—Fireworks, Outdoor Science, Ocean Exploration, Pirates, and Robotics—will support extended work cycles and deeper engagement with Montessori materials throughout the month.
We want to thank all of you for sharing your children with us this year. Please continue to help your child/children with lessons taught at school, as repetition is the key to success!
